WHAT HAPPENS IN A LESSON?

We can learn the Alexander Technique through individual lessons or in small groups.  Lessons are designed to accommodate your needs.  In an individual lesson we explore every day movements through a combination of lying, sitting, standing, walking, so we can discover our hidden tension habits.  Lessons can be designed around specific skills or activities such as singing, playing a musical instrument, playing sports, running etc and could take place in the work-place, in the choir or in the sports field.

Ten lessons should give you a good grounding in your new skills of thinking in activity.  Lessons can be situated in your own home if required.

I also offer short courses for small group at a time and in a setting to suit your interest. Over the course period we explore the basic principles of the Alexander Technique through a combination of practical experiences, working individually and in pairs exploring every day movements, activities and objects, learning to apply the thinking skills in your place of work or activity. Lessons can be tailored to your area or need, workplace, or group such as choir, orchestra, sporting activity, school, college etc.
